48 Hour Film Project 10th Anniversary Kick-Off

48HFP 10th Anniversary Kick-Off!

Be Kind Rewind

Buy Tickets Passes OK

The 48 Hour Film Project comes to Boston on the weekend of May 6th. Filmmakers from all over the Boston area will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. The winning film will go up against films from around the world.

Tonight we’ll help get things started with a special screening of BE KIND, REWIND, preceded by 3 shorts from past 48 Hour Film Project events!

Be Kind Rewind(2008) dir Michel Gondry, w/Jack Black, Mos Def, Danny Glover, Mia Farrow [102 min]

When a struggling neighborhood video store suddenly finds its tapes erased, it’s up to Jerry and Mike (Jack Black, Mos Def) to save the business. The duo plumb their creative depths as they reshoot the movies on their own terms, with zero budget, and succeed in galvanizing a neighborhood against unwelcome change. Director Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Science of Sleep) introduces the world to “Sweded” filmmaking in this hilarious comedy starring Jack Black and Mos Def.
