Best of Open Screen

Open Screen

Tickets available at the door

If you’re not familiar with Open Screen, here’s the deal: it’s a monthly “open mic night” for New England’s underground/fringe/student/outsider filmmakers. At any given Open Screen, you’ll see a strangely perfect line-up of everything from homemade super-8 films to professionally produced music videos to animated documentaries. Once a year, the good folks at Open Screen choose their favorite entries from the past 12 months and hold a “Best Of” show. This year’s show will feature stellar short films followed by an appropriately unorthodox awards ceremony and a Q&A with the filmmakers.
