Jackie Brown

Buy Tickets Brattle passes accepted

Double Feature with FOXY BROWN.

(1997) dir Quentin Tarantino w/Pam Grier, Robert Forster, Samuel L. Jackson, Bridget Fonda, Michael Keaton, Robert De Niro [154 min]
Arguably Tarantino’s most mature film, JACKIE BROWN is a fantastic vehicle for the great Pam Grier – a former exploitation star – who plays a middle-aged flight attendant stuck between a gunrunner (Jackson) who she works for and the ATF agent (Keaton) who want to take him down. With the help of a bail bondsman (Forster) who is soft on her, Jackie hatches a scheme to extricate herself and embark on a new life – if everything goes according to plan, that is.
