“‘High Art’ is so perceptive and mature it makes similar films seem flippant.” – Roger Ebert

“High Art remains a well crafted film by a first time director at the top of her game.” – Michael D. Klemm, CinemaQueer.com

“A highlight of the 1998 Sundance Festival: Cholodenko depicts with unwavering veracity the breakup of one longtime lesbian relationship just as another, unexpected one begins. The acting of the three women, Sheedy Mitchell, and Clarkson, is superb.” – Emanuel Levy, Variety
