Three 12-year-old friends from Brooklyn spend their weekends performing in Times Square as Unlocking the Truth, a band that plays a blend of heavy metal and speed punk. When Alan Sacks, the co-creator of Welcome Back Cotter, decides to take them on as a client it not only leads to national press coverage, but also gigs at concerts such as Coachella and opening for Metallica, as well as a $1.8 million record deal. Despite their success, they still just want to be kids.
