IT’S A SCI-FI ROMP! No, it’s a GUNS-ABLAZIN’ ACTION FLICK! No, it’s SOME SORT OF MODERN WESTERN! Ha ha, just kidding! It’s ALL OF THESE THINGS AND MORE with a little daub of DEATH WISH III (the one where Paul Kersey teams up with old people, remember) on top!!!!!!! Of all the films we’ve shown this year that were shot in a desert and had lazerblasts SFX’d in afterwards, this one’s got EXPLODING SPACE BUGGIES, a CRACK SHOOTIN’ OLD MAN, and the only one with a SHOCKINGLY DOPE POST-PUNK/PAISLEY UNDERGROUND SOUNDTRACK. Also it was written and directed by stuntmen WHICH IS ALWAYS A SIGN OF IMPENDING QUALITY.

When we screened this we caught ourselves LITERALLY CLAPPING OUR HANDS WITH DELIGHT at a few scenes. You will be FURIOUS with yourself if you miss this!!!!

TRASH NIGHTWe’re excited to welcome TRASH NIGHT, one of Boston’s best underground comedy/film events, to the Brattle! Once a month TRASH NIGHT selects one F-grade, sub-cult cinematic wonder and unleashes it on an unsuspecting audience – with original video weirdness seeded throughout. This is one of the rare times at the Brattle when audience participation is not only encouraged, it’s required!
