This much buzzed about horror film has finally made its debut on DVD but the Brattle is thrilled to present the first theatrical screenings in the Boston area! A positive who’s who of things that go bump in the night, TRICK’R TREAT features a cavalcade of ghosts, ghouls, werewolves, vampires, slashers and more. Interweaving several different stories that all take place on Halloween night in one Ohio town, writer/director Michael Dougherty has made a new horror classic with just the right blend of horror, gore, ghoulishness and, of course, cruelty to children. And, in case you need some encouragement to get into the holiday spirit, Dougherty introduces a creepy sack-masked hobgoblin that torments those who don’t respect the traditions of Halloween.
