Calling
All Local Filmmakers 11/7/05 (updated 11/28/05)
The Fifth Annual Boston Cinema Census call for submissions
will soon be closing - the deadline has been extended until
November 15, 2005. This annual event is a unique opportunity
for local filmmakers to have their works presented at the
historic Brattle Theatre. For years the Cinema Census has
brought the best filmmaking in New England to local audiences.
The screening will be hosted by the Brattle Theatre in Cambridge,
MA in January, 2006. It's a unique opportunity for emerging
visual artists to demonstrate their hard work and screen with
the best in the local filmmaking community. It's also an engaging
opportunity for audiences to experience current trends in
film and witness the creative aspirations of their makers.
For submission details please go to www.centralproductions.org or email info@centralproductions.org.

The Brattle Film Foundation has undertaken
the most important fundraising campaign in the history of
the Brattle Theatre, the PRESERVE
THE BRATTLE LEGACY CAMPAIGN. We hope that this campaign
will rally the community behind the film programming at the
Brattle and seriously increase our visibility. We know that
Brattle members and supporters have concerns, ideas and questions
about the campaign and the future of the Brattle and we look
forward to hearing from you! Towards that end, we are organizing
an OPEN HOUSE to discuss the Brattle Film Foundation
and the Preserve The Brattle Legacy Campaign. It will be held
next Saturday, October 15, from 11am - 1pm. Please
come by and share your thoughts and feelings with the directors
and several of our board members. Of course, we don't want
you to wait until then to get in touch... if you are interested
in helping the Brattle in any way, please email ivy@brattlefilm.org or call us at 617 876-8021.
