Dear Brattle Friend:

Let’s face it, the more unique your tastes, the more you can appreciate the Brattle Theatre and the Brattle Film Foundation.

Where else can you bring a date to a romantic comedy from the 1940s, make sure your friend sees the latest in Japanese horror, or immerse yourself in Dorothy and Toto on the big screen?

What else provides the diverse, distinct, engrossing programming that encourages such extraordinary passion?

Why else would you feel as strongly about the Brattle as you do?

I understand, because I feel the same way.

Recently, when I took over as President of the Board of the Brattle Film Foundation, I learned that ticket revenue covers less than half of the Theatre’s operating costs. Without the additional support of patrons like you, the Brattle would not be able to provide the stellar programming we have come to love. In other words, in order to continue to see the films we love, each one of us—along with our friends and neighbors—must help to support the Foundation. By doing so we ensure that all of us will enjoy the Brattle for years to come.
