Happy 100th Kirk Douglas!

Sunday, December 25 – Thursday, December 29, 2016

paths-of-glory-poster-1We always enjoy celebrating the centennials of cinema legends. It’s a great excuse to put together a program of films and celebrate the careers of the greats. But it’s even more special when those legends are still with us. So it’s with great pleasure that we present this special tribute to Kirk Douglas who celebrates his 100th birthday on December 9 of this year. An indelible presence from the Golden Age of Hollywood, Douglas made his mark in many films and this brief series only has time to focus on his work in the 1950s. This period includes two of his three Oscar nominations – both of which (LUST FOR LIFE and THE BAD AND THE BEAUTIFUL) are included in the series.
