2011 Annual Report

It was a terrific year, filled with classic repertory programming, great special events (like the premiere of Super with director James Gunn in the house), premieres (like Pearl Jam 20) and in-person appearances (like Crispin Glover and Stephen Tobolowsky). We partnered with a wide-range of organizations and individuals last year, like Harvard University, the Women in Comedy Festival, Tanya Donnelly, Jimmy Tingle, the Harvard Bookstore and too many others to list here.  None of this would have been possible without your support and guidance.

We’ve greenlit a sequel of our own for 2012 and this one you’re sure to like. Already, we’ve screened successful film noir and Dr. Who programs, hosted Atom Egoyan for a Q&A, and partnered with the Charles River Swimming and Diving Team and Cambridge-based software developer Harmonix. Keep your eyes peeled for our upcoming calendars.

The Brattle has been bucking the trends of film exhibition for nearly 60 years and we’re keeping the faith. Based on our conversations with supporters like you, and the increase in attendance over the past three years, we know we have the footing to pilot the Brattle through this new frontier of exhibition. If you agree with us, drop us a line; we’d love to hear from you. In the meantime, we hope you will enjoy reading the enclosed report and seeing what you have made possible.

Thank you for your incredible support!
