(1962) dir David Lean w/Peter O’Toole, Alec Guiness, Anthony Quinn, Omar Sharif [240 min; DCP]
We were saddened to learn of the passing of cinematic great Peter O’Toole at the end of 2013 but we relish the opportunity to highlight some of his defining moments. And, of course, LAWRENCE OF ARABIA is probably the defining moment in his career. O’Toole stars as T.E. Lawrence, a British soldier who became a military legend during WWI leading an Arab army against the powerful Ottoman Empire.
