Each category of short films and animations features jury-selected work by artists from around the world. Category programs are approximately one-hour long.

Ballkoni – Lendita Zeqiraj
Jeton, a 10-year-old boy is sitting on the edge of a balcony on the 4th floor. Neighbors and passers-by, terrified by this situation, call the police and firefighters for help. But the situation quickly becomes unmanageable.

Claire – Cate Smierciak
Alone on her first night in Berlin, a young woman gathers the courage to go out on her own, but after meeting a few locals at the corner bar, she is faced with more adventure than she bargained for.

Alejandrito El Cuco – Alex Medina
A Cuban short film about childhood.

Zugzwang – Yolanda Centeno
Zugzwang in German means obligation to move. Life and chess are not so different. There is a moment in life where you know you have to make a decision, but the best thing to do would be not to make any move. But… you must. We simply call this being screwed. In chess, they call it Zugzwang.
