Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990)

Free and open to the public!

North Allston Film Festival FlyerKowabunga dude! It always seemed improbable that a group of characters who started life in a black-and-white comic book spoof of Daredevil should become pop culture icons, but never underestimate the power of good marketing – or a pact with the devil. In this clumsy but lovable live action version of the TMNT saga, the origin is told of how four baby turtle brothers are exposed to toxic ooze, become intelligent (sorta), learn martial arts (from a talking rat!), and develop a love for pizza and skateboarding.

Presented by The Brattle Film Foundation

The Brattle is excited to partner with Harvard University to present a special pair of outdoor screenings in Barry’s Corner this fall. Both evenings will feature food and fun as well as a classic film presented on the big screen for all to enjoy!

Both screenings take place in the open lot at 267 Western Ave – right next to the Smith Playground and across from the Breakfast Club Diner.

This event is free and open to the public. Please note that both films contain quite a bit of cartoon/western-style violence. Recommended for children over 12.

Attendees are encouraged to bike, walk, or ride the T to this event. Limited parking is only available on Western Ave and N. Harvard St. Parking on “Resident Only” streets is strictly enforced.

This special program is sponsored by Harvard University.
