Running the gamut from introspective to irreverent, devastating to danceable, this is definitely not Saturday morning cartoons. This year’s animated shorts block asks us to look within and contemplate what is truly ours and what we have only borrowed. Love. Fear. Sex. Dreams. Willpower. Friendship. Anxiety, Intellect. Teeth. Each film approaches the question in a different way; some finding answers easily, others abandoning the search. An array of mediums are included, showcasing the breadth of filmmaker talent: hand drawn/painted, clay, cut paper, and digital. Not suitable for young viewers.
