Hidden Figures

Wednesday, July 25 at 4:30, 7:00
Picked by: Kim, Jo
Jo – That scene where all the women computers storm off to work the computer is the most epic thing ever. Also, Janelle Monáe is in it.

AMELIE

Thursday, July 26 at 7:00
Picked by: Dave, Jo
Dave – a sweet interesting tale of romance.
Jo – It’s beautiful and I have never seen another romance like it, which makes it awesome. Also, fun fact, that café is an actual café in Montmartre, it’s affordable, not overcrowded with tourists and serves the best food I have ever had (and that is, travelling in France). And I enjoy that it all happens within a very tiny, recognizable region of Paris, so it’s really easy to pinpoint and understand the movie’s world.

RUN LOLA RUN

Thursday, July 26 at 5:00, 9:30
Picked by: Alma, Dave
Alma – movie is set to a techno version of Charles Ives’ “The Unanswered Question” and that’s not even the best part.
Dave – a great soundtrack and a What-if? storyline!

Premiere Engagement!
Picked by: Cara, Ivy
Ivy – Jim McKay is a remarkable director. I haven’t seen this film, but can’t wait to do so!
