In this hilarious comedy, four diamond thieves pull off a heist but immediately start turning on each other with an eye on stealing the loot for themselves. When an uptight British barrister (Cleese) is seduced by a member of the gang (Curtis), he becomes tied up in the hijinks that ensue.

Debbie Danielpour

Professor of Screenwriting and Co-Chair of the Department of Film and Television at Boston University

A 2011 and 2017 recipient of Boston University’s College of Communication’s Teacher of the Year award, Debbie Danielpour has been teaching film and fiction writing for more than 20 years—at San Francisco State University, Emerson College, Harvard University Extension, and in a variety of workshops and seminars in the US, Europe and South America. She has written feature and television scripts (Star Trek: NG, Stand AccusedHalfway Somewhere Else), published fiction and essays, and works as a freelance consultant.

Her sixth motion picture screenplay, We’re All Here, is currently in development. Danielpour is also working on her third libretto, Layla and the Majnun, for the Los Angeles Opera.
