Celluloid Heroes: A Music & Film Festival

Repertory Series!
Thursday, December 9 – Sunday, December 12, 2010

In celebration of our premiere run of the terrific rock’n’roll documentary DO IT AGAIN (see below), we are inaugurating a new festival here at the Brattle. CELLULOID HEROES takes its name from a Kinks song and aims to present a mix of films both old and new that combine music and film in artful and innovative ways. Here you might see anything from a straight-ahead documentary about a musician, a film tracking the rise and fall of a fictional band, a rocker’s own psychedelic directing debut, or a presentation on the history of punks in cinema. In any case, it’s all going to be fun and loud just like music should be!
