Recent Raves (Fall 2013)

Sunday, September 8—Thursday, September 19, 2013

As a recap of the summer movie season, we offer another installment in our ongoing “Recent Raves” series. Of course, being the Brattle, we’re eschewing the big name blockbusters and focusing on some of the smaller movies that might have been lost in the superhero shuffle. Come play catch-up with us as we feature stories like the coming-of-age tales in KINGS OF SUMMER and THE TO DO LIST; the meditative ultra-violence of Nicolas Winding-Refn’s ONLY GOD FORGIVES; Joss Whedon’s take on Shakespeare in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING; and the stunning documentaries THE ACT OF KILLING and LEVIATHAN; among others.
