Virtual Program Highlights:
The Brattle is excited to team-up with local author Peter Bebergal to support the release of his new book Strange Frequencies: The Extraordinary Story of the Technological Quest for the Supernatural with a selection of electrically scary films in celebration of Halloween and Day of the Dead. The series will culminate with a multi-media presentation by Bebergal followed by a free screening of a rarely seen 1970s television horror film. Highlights in the series include: IT! with Roddy McDowall wielding the ancient technology of the golem; POLTERGEIST whose infamous ghosts invade by television; Darren Aronofksy’s debut feature, PI; and PRINCE OF DARKNESS, John Carpenter’s mad vision of Satan as computer virus.
